Other Events in Bath & Beyond

Bath is a city brimming with things to see and do, and the winter months are no exception. As well as fantastic shopping at the Bath Christmas Market, Bath has a great mix of high street stores and a high proportion of individual independent shops. In addition, Bath offers an amazingly varied programme of festivals and events providing even more reasons to come again or to plan to stay longer.

Alongside Bath Christmas Market, the Guildhall market in Bath is holding its own Christmas themed market (27th November – 7th December) and Milsom Place will be hosting its annual Chocolate festival on Saturday 6th December.  Jane Austen fans will love the Jane Austen Regency Christmas at the Jane Austen Centre (22nd - 28th November).  If you are seeking traditional festivities, the Roman Baths provide this in a unique setting with ‘Carols by Candlelight’ (17th - 19th December) or join some furry friends for a sing-song at the Horseworld Annual Christmas Carol Concert (7th December).

Families are well catered for at this special time of year, with festive celebrations happening at many of the visitor attractions in the city and surrounding area. This years’ pantomime, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, at the Theatre Royal, features all the elements for a perfect family treat! ‘Santa Specials’ are taking place on the Avon Valley Railway and the Longleat Railway during December.  Christmas at Claverton at the American Museum in Britain features a Christmas trail to entertain the children with elves hidden throughout the house (22nd November – 14th December).
