Entertainment During the Bath Christmas Market

Throughout the market we put on a jam-packed programme of entertainment over the 18 days. The whole site came alive with musical entertainment, performances and events.

Bath Christmas Market played host to children’s school choirs, musical duos, carols by candlelight, three piece entertainers, flutists, pianists, chamber choirs and so much more. You were sure to stumble across some entertainment during your visit to really get you into the festive spirit.

The fantastic Rock Choir and Shean Bowers Choirs brought the Market alive with Christmas carols and other popular sing-along tunes.

The Norland Choir also performed on opening night at Abbey Green Archway from 7pm.

Did you join us outside The Lodge on Stall Street to celebrate the opening of the Market? There was live entertainment from Bath Spa Band, an opportunity to meet the Snow Queen and a performance from the incredible Glow Drummers, all topped off with exciting special effects.

Children’s Festive Storytelling

St Michael's Without
Children were transported to a magical world far far away with special storytelling from Snowflake the Elf in the Crypt of St Michaels Without Church.

Kingsmead Square Festive Street Food Market

Kingsmead Square hosted a fantastic feast of festive food and drink last Christmas. The very best street food traders from the South West dished up delicious lunch and dinner time treats. From Valencian paella to Cantonese dumplings and Alpine-style mac and cheese, mouth-watering world flavours were in abundance, along with mulled wine, cider and brilliant live music.

Christmas Crafts

Children aged 5 – 10 joined the volunteers from Girlguiding Bath for some Christmas crafting fun. They had lots of messy fun making decorations and gifts whilst parents were able to relax with a cup of tea and a nip around the Market.

Walcot Street Winter Festival

Bath’s Artisan Quarter once again hosted their annual winter festival. As a celebration of arts and crafts, the festivities kicked off with a traditional Children’s lantern procession and Christmas carols.

A Christmas Carol Theatre Performance

Bath Spa University put on this must see theatrical production across the City of Bath. It was a joyful tale for all ages.
