This accessibility statement applies to www.bathchristmasmarket.co.uk.

This website is run by Bath & North East Somerset council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We have tried to make this website as accessible as possible, this includes any PDFs that are included as downloads.

How we tested this website

We last audited the website on 15th June 2022 using Axe DevTools accessibility check tool. At that point we made improvements to the following:

  • Better table summaries and captions on the Price List page
  • Added a missing Heading 1 element to the homepage
  • Fixed some missing alternative text on the stall holders pack PDF download

The accessibility checker also highlighted the need to manually check colour contrasts because the site uses a lot of background images. We used the WebAIM color contrast checker to check that the text on pages contrasted adequately with the darkest areas of any background images used.

All text and background combinations passed this check.
